To support our team in Vienna, we are looking for a:

DevOps Engineer (f/m)

As part of the Engineering Support Team you manage the deployment, configuration, customization, and operation of engineering tools including user support and training.

Your challenge:

  • Decide on customization, configuration, and deployment of development tools for railway products (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Coverity, modelling tools, Thales proprietary test management tools) in line with project requirements and corporate guidelines and strategy
  • Deploy, configure, and administer those development tools under your responsibility in cooperation with the IS/IT department
  • Automate installation and deployment of these tools (Ansible, Puppet, Bash, Powershell) in various environments (local servers, local cloud, Amazon cloud)
  • Configure and administer integration of tools using a Thales proprietary integration framework
  • Manage version upgrades
  • Monitor and manage licenses in cooperation with the IS/IT department
  • Provide user support, training, and coaching

Your profile:

  • Technical degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar (FH, University)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in scripting and programming using and extending tool APIs
  • At least 3 years of experience with Windows and programming under Windows
  • Experience with Windows administration is an advantage
  • Experience with version control software (git) and configuration management
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with container and virtualization technologies (OpenStack, Docker, KVM) is an advantage
  • Strong interest in supporting development projects
  • Experience with working in an international context (multi-site) is an advantage
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is an advantage
  • Fluency in English and good command of German
  • Innovative, flexible, and customer-oriented team player
