FPGA Design Engineer (m/f/d) in full or part time (Ref.Nr. R0118740)

for our activities in the field of transportation at our headquarters in Ditzingen near Stuttgart.

You will enjoy having this responsibility:

In this role, you are responsible for FPGA design, test bench design and documentation.

It also involves the following tasks:

  • Design and implementation of CPLD / FPGA designs for safety critical systems
  • Creation and execution of test benches for RTL and timing simulation
  • Formal verification of FPGA designs (timing analysis, code coverage, coding rule check)
  • Design documentation according internal and normative standards
  • Support of the FPGA-hardware integration on target hardware
  • Support of safety validation, assessment and approval process
  • Maintenance of the design over the whole development life cycle (specification, design , implementation, verification, HW integration, maintenance)

You have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
  • Experience in VHDL design for synthesis and behavioral modeling is mandatory
  • Knowledge in FPGA design considering SIL2 to SIL4 according to EN 50128 or IEC 61508 is a plus
  • Knowledge of advanced verification techniques (PSL, VHDL-2008, System Verilog)
  • Knowledge in using state of the art design and simulation tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics)
  • Very good level of German and English language
