Job description: Final Functional Testing Engineer
Job description (details), responsibility:
In-house system testing, testing of company portfolio products in the field of railway safety technology [e.g. ESTW construction project with ESTW L90 o. L90 5 or NXL + ETCS L1 u. L2 with different user interfaces of Deutsche Bahn AG, local transport and export customer, AzLM; TMS systems (ARAMIS)] based on general rules EN50126, 50128, 50129 as well as general safety rules and specific requirements of our customers.
Main task and deliveries: 
- Transfer of the tested system to the project management for delivery to the customer (with possible necessary conditions for operation)

Responsiblities: 
- Checking functionality based on customer specifications and general rules for railway safety technology, with regard to the conformity of planning and execution
- Management and supervision of the inspection work on the customer system until the handover to the customer
- Preparation and summary of the test documents for the specific system test and commissioning concepts
- Classification of errors and cause of their elimination (data and system software, execution of hardware solution and assembly)
- Development of new test specifications (triggered by new products, changed customer specifics, changed national and international standards or changed internal work regulations)
- Interface / support to other departments
- Project planning installation, project management, customer care
- Setup lab configuration
- Preparation of test and migration concepts, validation and verification plans, level 4 - schedules and integration plans
- Fundamental readiness to take over the development tests and to do system tests in the field
- Planning, preparation, implementation and support of "Site Integration Tests"
- Contact person of the customer during the test phase
o Participation in customer audits on site
o Technical / safety customer advice
o Help to clarify detailed questions between customer / sales, development and project planning
o If necessary, Preparation and support of software FAT in laboratory configurations near the customer

Skills and experience:

•    A Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
•    At least 5 years’ experience in railway signalling engineering in relation to interlocking and/or train control system 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;  German is considered a plus
•    An independent and responsible working attitude is required, e.g. manage and plan own work day and the ability to seek solutions independently
