To support our team in Vienna, we are looking for a:

Hardware Tester  (f/m)

Junior to experienced

Our  Hardware Engineering department provides services for Thales product developments in the safety-critical area and deals with the further development of interlocking technologies, the ongoing support of the basic technology and the new development of components and systems. The core tasks include the requirements specification, the system architecture, the specification for the mechanical design, the circuit design, the qualification (EMC, shock, vibration, climate) and obsolescence management.

Your responsibilities:

  • Planning and definition of qualification tests
  • Creation of qualification test specifications and test reports
  • Test setup (build up, cabling, ….)
  • Manage and support test partners, subcontractors
  • Concatenation of external test results
  • Support of HW development and other departments in all qualification belongings

Your profile:

  • Completed technical education (HTL or higher) in Railway Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • At least 1 year of relevant practical experience
  • Practical experience in measurement engineering
  • Knowhow for EMC on board and system level
  • Knowhow for thermal system behavior
  • Basic knowledge of LINUX scripts
  • knowledge of test automation is advantageous
  • Positive attitude towards unknown topics (product/railway specific knowledge)
  • High level of German (B2) and good level of English
  • Full, valid eligibility to work in Austria
